well i just got back from driving my neighbor's lotus elise...
here are my thoughts.
i've driven plenty of evos. a couple wrxs. s2ks. a supra, audi s4, m3s , other euros, hondas galore ranging from stock to 400hpand i will say today in front of shoupz that the elise is prolly one of the top 3 most exciting cars that i've driven and possibly the best handling car i've driven. don't get me wrong. with the gts motor it is quite fast because you would expect many amenties that aren't there. you look around and it's alot of exposed metal showing you that lotus means business. This is a great car which i would only hope one day i could own.
The owner of the elise sed that he test drove the new corvette and the porsche cayman. and out of those 3 cars, the elise was the perfect chose. He was so kind in letting me drive the car my dad as the passenger. I took it flat out to 110mph no sweat. took hard corners at 60mph.
the handling on the elise is second to none. the ride is stiff but not too stiff and will keep the car flat through almost any turn. my dad looked for the "o shit handle" and tried to get me to slow down. didn't work
I will be taking the elise out for a photoshooot and will post pix at a later time. but this has been a true pleasure. thanx for listening shoupz. i hope this somehow proves useful. lol
i can't begin to imagine the exige....
